Health Minister should be removed: Pachouri

Bhopal, May 31 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Congress President Suresh Pachouri today demanded that Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi should give his resignation in the wake of massive raids by the Income Tax departments including at the premises of his brother Abhay Vishnoi -- who is posted at the state Small Industries Corporation's Jabalpur office.

In a statement issued here today, Mr Pachouri said Director (Health) Rajesh Rajora has resigned on moral grounds following the raids. On the other hand, Mr Ajay Vishnoi was continuing.

He said it appeared the IT department conducted the raids after thorough investigation. Cash, jewellery and important documents have been unearthed.

Mr Pachouri claimed that these raids proved that corruption has increased due to political patronage.

Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan should demand resignation from the Health Minister.
