Girl ends life over failure in HS exams

Jaunpur, May 31: After failing in Uttar Pradesh Board High School examination, a girl committed suicide in Badlapur area here.

Mamta (15) hanged her self from the ceiling fan of her room in Purani Bazaar late yesterday, police said today.

The girl hailed from Chandauli district, but was staying at her aunt's house to pursue studies.

Mamta took the extreme step over her failure in the examination.

The body had been sent for post-mortem.
