BJP to raise Telangana sentiments

Tirupati, May 31 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh BJP president Bandaru Dattatraya today said the issue of granting statehood to Telangana would be the major poll plank for the party in the next Assembly elections in the state.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the party would contest alone in all Assembly and Parliament seats in the state.

He claimed that a separate Telangana would only be possible through the election of a national party like BJP, he said.

In the recently held by-elections in the state, the Telangana sentiment was not of much favour to the TRS as the people felt that the elections would not solve their problems, he added.
