''Antarnad'' adjudged best film in Goa film festival awards
Panaji, May 31 (UNI) ''Antarnad'', a film directed by Rajendra Talak, was adjudged as the best film at the 4th Goa State film Festival 2008 awards ceremony, held at Dinanath Mangeshkar Auditorium at Kala Academy here yesterday.
A film ''Vizmit''(miracle) bagged the second best place, in the ceremony, organised by the Department of Information and Publicity, in association with the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG).
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest, Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat said government will give total entertainment tax exemption for filmmakers, who produce regional films from the state of Goa.
The Chief Minister also urged the Goan artists to make a career in the state itself, instead of moving to other states.
The state film festival was held from May 1 to May 4, in which five Konkani films -- ''Antarnad'', ''Vizmit'', ''Zuzari'', ''Ordem Chaddor'' and ''Bhitorlea Monacho Munis'', were screened.
