State would host national youth festival

Shillong, May 30(UNI) The Meghalata government has shown interest in hosting the National Youth Festival next year.

State's urban Affairs Minister Paul Lyngdoh said the festival would be held in January and the venue would be decided later.

Other states were also trying to host the festival but the Meghalaya government was fully confident it would be able to host the festival.

A discussion in this regard was held with the Secretary of the Union Youth Affairs Ministry at a meeting recently, the minister stated.
