Silver closes below Rs 24,000 mark

Mumbai, May 30: Silver today closed lower by a whopping Rs 520 to end at Rs 23,620 per kg, while standard Gold was down by Rs 215 to close at Rs 12,170 per ten gm on weak global cues, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said here today.

Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 23,620 (24,140) Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 12,170 (12,385) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 12,230 (12,445)
