Police presents challan in Capt Megha Razdan case
Jammu, May 30 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police today presented challan against Captain Chataniya Bhatwadaker, husband of deceased army officer Captain Megha Razdan, who was found hanging at her residential quarters in Kunjwani on July 1, 2007.
However, Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu Y P Bourney after considering the challan, has submitted it to the sessions court. The CJM said section 306/498-A was exclusively triable by the Sessions Court and directed the accused to appear before the Court on June 26, 2008.
The accused Captain Chataniya Bhatwadaker was arrested on April 1, 2008 and booked under sections 306/498-A RPC for abetting her army officer wife to commit suicide.
