One person drowned another killed and tourism hut gutted in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 30 (UNI) One person was drowned and another killed in an accident while a tourist hut was gutted in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.

They said one, Mudasir Ahmad Dar was drowned in power canal at Kangan in Ganderbal district. Efforts are on to fish out his body, they added.

A motorcyclist hit and critically wounded one Ghulam Nabi Mir at Ferozpora crossing in Tangmarg area. He was admitted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

A hut of Jammu and Kashmir Tourism was gutted in a devastating fire at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Complex (SKICC) on the banks of famed Dal Lake. Two tourism employees also received burn injuries, the official sources said adding the cause of the fire was not known.
