IT dept raids on builders, IAS officer in Cities

Bhopal, May 30: The Income Tax department today raided about 35 premises of six people, including an IAS officer and builders, in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Neemuch and Mumbai.

The searches included residences and premises of two builders from the state capital, at least three senior Madhya Pradesh Government officials and one-two people related to other professions, IT department sources said, without divulging any further details.

The sources said these government officials were posted in Health and Home departments. Besides, premises of a senior retired official was also raided.

Apart from 200 IT department officials, local police was also employed in conducting raids.
