BJP women wing protests against inflation

Mumbai, May 30 (UNI) The BJP women wing in Mumbai, while expressing grave concern over rising prices, has demanded additional supplies of essential commodities to yellow ration card holders.

The women wing has demanded that the yellow ration card holders should be provided with 35 kg of wheat, 25 kg rice, sugar, oil, kerosene and pulses at reasonable costs.

State BJP women wing president Manisha Chaudhari said in a press release here today that the rising prices have affected women the most as they have to manage the family budget.

''We will meet the Chief Minister and the Food and Civil Supplies Minister soon in this regard,'' she added in the statement.

The BJP women wing also proposes to collect over 20 lakh signatures against inflation and present the same to the President as the ''state government has failed to check the price rise'', the release added.
