New international airport for Bangalore

Bangalore, May 24, 2008 : The new full-fledged international airport in Bangalore, gets operational as the first International flight for Singapore takes off.

Albert Brunner, the man behind Bangalore"s new airport and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bengaluru international airport Limited (BIAL) said that his aim was to make a world-class airport. The privately built airport, was inaugurated on Saturday May 24, .The airport is about 35 km from the city centre.
