Munde rules out change of leadership in Raj Govt

Jaipur, May 29 (UNI) BJP General Secretary Gopinath Munde today ruled out possibility of change of leadership in the Rajasthan Government in the wake of the ongoing Gujjar agitation.

Talking to reporters at Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's official residence here, Mr Munde said there was speculation in this regard but there was no move for change of leadership.

Mr Munde also ruled out possibility of early Assembly elections.

He said there was neither scope nor possibility for imposition of President's Rule in the state.

There were reports over moves of certain BJP dissidents who had reportedly suggested to the High Command to go for change of leadership in the government in view of the flare-up of the Gujjar agitation.

Mr Munde said the state government was handling well the situation.

He, alongwith some other central leaders, was coordinating between Ms Raje and the party high command including BJP Prime Ministerial candidate LK Advani and party President Rajnath Singh.

Mr Munde said he was keeping Mr Advani and Mr Singh abreast of the developments in Jaipur.
