KPCC ST Cell demands sacking of Congress Legislator Somanna
Bangalore, May 29 (UNI) Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) ST cell Chairman T Ramappa today demanded party High Command to initiate deciplenery action against party Legislator V Somanna for making baseless allegations against senior leaders while attributing the poor performance in the Assembly elections.
In a statement here, Mr Ramappa charged that Mr Somanna, an habitual turncoat hardly understand the policies and principles of Congress party.
"The allegation made by Mr Somanna on the causes of defeat of the party in the elections were far from truth and central observers can not be blamed for the poor performance of the party nominees", he added.
Stating that Mr Somanna, who had got elected from Govindarajnagar assembly constituency, should be expelled from the party for his outburst against senior party leaders including AICC General Secretary and Union Minister Prithviraj Chavan. "Those who have not wedded to ideologies and principles of the party do not have the right to stay in the party" Mr Ramappa stated.
