Exide to invest Rs 35cr for second smelter in country

New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) Exide Industries Ltd today said it will invest Rs 35 crores to set up a second smelter in the country.

'' The company is in discussions with local smelters,'' it said in a statement.

In October, Exide Industries had bought lead smelter Tandon Metals Pvt Ltd to access recycled raw materials and cut dependance on high-cost imported lead.
