Bail denied to chief manager of bank

Patna, May 29 (UNI) The special CBI judge of Patna today rejected regular bail petition of the chief manager of a nationalised bank in a case of cheating, forgery and misapropriation of public fund.

After hearing the bail petition, Judge Radheshyam Prasad refused to release on bail the incarcerated accused Vijay Kumar Jha, the then chief manager of Samastipur branch of the State Bank of India.

The case was related to misapropriation of public funds worth lakhs of rupees from the Samastipur branch of the SBI by its officials, who had forged the bank's documents during 2003-2006.
