17 new professional colleges this year: Minister
Kannur, May 29 (UNI) Kerala Minister for Cooperation G Sudhakaran today said 17 new professional colleges will be started in this academic year in the co-operative sector.
The minister, who attended the convocation of the first batch of BSC Nursing students of the Pariyaram Medical College (PMC) here, told reporters that a business management and a finishing school would also be started. It was time to think for a Cooperatvie University in Kerala, he added.
Mr Sudhakaran, who is also the Chairman of PMC, said that the general council of PMC had decided to acquire ISO 9001-2000, NABH accreditation this year.
The PMC had also submitted an application to the Centre for granting Deemed University status.
