Three vehicle burglers arrested

Samastipur, May 28 (UNI) The police arrested three members of an inter-district vehicle burgler's gang from Mehnaiya village under Dalsingh Sarai Police station area in the district late last night.

Police superintendent Surendra Lal Das here today said acting on a tip-off sleuths of local police raided a hideout in the village and arrested the burglers with two pistols, several rounds of live cartridges and a motorcycle.

The gang was involved in vehicle theft in several districts of north Bihar including Samastipur, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Mr Das said.

All the burglers belong to Begusarai district and on the basis of their interrogation raids were on to nab the other members of the gang, Mr Das added.
