Six killed in accident near Akola
Nagpur, May 28 (UNI) Six people, including a woman, were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a state transport bus near Akola in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra today.
The accident occurred when a coal-laden truck, on its way to Akola, veered out of control after the front tyre burst, and rammed into the bus of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), which was going from Akola to Parabhani in Marathwada region, near Medshi, about 60 kms from Akola, police said.
Four people died on the spot, while two others succumbed to injuries on way to hospital, police said.
