Ponies attack people in Shimoga
Shimga, Karnataka, May 28 (UNI) Stray ponies grazing in the campus of a women's college here today attacked people who tried to chase them away.
The ponies, which strayed into the college around 0830 hrs, became wild when the watchman of the Kamala Nehru Women's college rushed to chase them away. One of them jumped and struck him with its fore legs. It later bit his right hand also. He, however, succeded in removing the ponies from the campus.
After some time, the same ponies went berserk and started attacking people in various localities, including the main market.
A group of youngsters succeeded in capturing the ponies and left them on the bank of river Tunga on the outskirts of the city.
