Srinagar, May 28 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (LA) Privilege Committee (PC) will summon the Commissioner-Secretary Social Welfare in connection with the privilege motion filed by National Panthers Party (NPP) member Harshdev Singh.
Mr Singh had filed a privilege motion against the Commissioner before the PC.
The committee, which met under the chairmanship of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Rehman Veeri, decided to call upon the Commissioner to get his view point on the subject before proceeding further.
An official spokesman said the PC took stock of the pending privilege motions and progress achieved by the previous Committees.
He said earlier the Secretary Assembly Mohammad Ramzan briefed the members about the role and scope of the PC and business conducted by the previous Committees.
