IOC Q4 FY08 net loss at Rs 414.27 cr

New Delhi, May 28: Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC) today said it has posted a a net loss of Rs 414.27 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to net profit of Rs 1,502.69 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.

The company said in a statement that its total income for Q4FY08 has increased 33.4 per cent to Rs 71,792.82 crore from Rs 53,818.75 crore for Q4FY07. IOC's net profit for the year ended March 31, 2008 declined 7.15 per cent to Rs 6,962.58 crore as compared to Rs 7,499.47 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total income of the company for FY08 has jumped 14.5 per cent to Rs 2,49,169.16 crore from Rs 2,17,533.82 crore last fiscal. The Group's net profit for FY08 grew 0.6 per cent to Rs 7,912.74 crore as compared to Rs 7,867.45 crore last fiscal.

Its total income for the year ended March 31, 2008 increased 14.7 per cent to Rs 2,32,558.62 crore from Rs 2,02,694 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007.
