Hitech Printers eyes global market

{image-hi tech printer_28052008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Coimbatore, May 28: City-based Hitech Universal Printers and Publishers today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Signatures Designs and Communications, to capture the global market in the printing segment.

Talking to newspersons here, Hitech Chairman P C Thomas said the company had constructed a full-fledged, state-of-the-art building here that housed Heidelberg PrePress- Press- Postpress machinery in 20,000 sq ft with a investment of Rs 10 crore. Equipment installed included the Heidelberg Speedmaster 74 colour printing machine with Pre-Press interface, capable of printing 13,000 copies per hour, Suprasetter CtP with online processor and other PostPress machinery. He said their association with Signatures, who is well known for their creative design and marketing, would help the company to enter the competitive global market.

The core business was driven by Heidelberg technology, known to the world as the ultimate in printing know-how. The latest line of equipment could deliver 100 per cent colour reproduction.

To a question, Dr Thomas said they expect a business of Rs 10 crore initially.

Dr Thomas would attend Printers and Publishers International meet to be held at the US next week.

Dr Thomas and Signature Head Brijesh K P signed the MoU.
