Faizabad court blast accused brought to city amid tight security
Faizabad, May 28 (UNI) Four terrorists, accused in the November 23 Faizabad court blast, were today brought from Lucknow jail to a local court amid tight security.
Khalid Mujahid, Tarik Kazami, Mohammad Akhtar and Sujjadurhaman were produced before Additional District Judge III R K Gautam, who fixed the next hearing of the case on June 7.
Counsel for the accused, Shoiab Ahmad, who was also given security cover following his manhandling by local lawyers during the last hearing, cross questioned the witnesses.
Faizabad Bar Associations minister Mansor Ilahi was also one among the witnesses, who was crossquestioned today.
Another witness Purshotam Pandey's testimoney will be recorded in the next hearing.
Till then, all the accused will remain in judicial custody.
On November 23, simultaneous blasts occurred in Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad court compounds.
At least 13 people were killed and more than 70 injured in the serial blasts on the court premises in Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad districts.
