Temperatures rise after dry weather in HP
Shimla, May 27 (UNI) Day and night temperatures across Himachal Pradesh rose marginally after clear blue sky today following days of wet conditions early this month.
The minimum and maximum temperatures at Shimla town rose to 14.3 and 24.7 degrees respectively as against 13.1 and 23.3 degrees Celsius recorded yesterday, the met office said.
The day temperature at Sundernagar also rose to 33.6, while Bhuntar and Kalpa recorded maximum temperatures of 31.5 and 21 degree Celsius respectively.
The met office said the maximum temperature at the famous tourist resort of Dharamshala stood at 28 degrees as against 27.6 degrees Celsius recorded yesterday.
Sundernagar recorded night temperature of 16.7, Bhuntar 15.4, Kalpa 5.6, Dharamshala 16.7, Mandi 19, Nahan 24.7, Solan 15.6, Palampur 17, Keylong 7.5 and Una town 18.2 degrees.
The residents of the state woke up to clear blue skies today before thick clouds enveloped the sky during the second half of the day. However, the clouds cleared out during the evening.
With temperatures again beginning to soar in the neighbouring plain areas, the tourists are making a beeline for the hill state to escape from the heat conditions.
The met office has forecast rain or thundershowers at isolated places in the state during the next 24 hrs.
