Lensmen invite the wrath of Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda
Bangalore, May 27(UNI) Photographers of various newspapers and electronic media menhe len were at the receiving end from former Prime Minsiter H D Deve Gowda when they went to cover the meeting of the newly elected JD(S) legislators at the party office here.
The photographers who were continuously clicking their cameras were asked by Mr Deve Gowda to quit the place stating that they (the photographers) had enough photographs of his. Ordering them to get out of the premises he also directed his security men to clear the photo journalists from the Hall.
Taken aback from the attitude of Mr Gowda the photo journalists trooped out from the meeting hall and left the party office.
Party office however had invited all the media organisations to send their scribe with photographers to cover the meeting held to review the party debacle at the hustings and also to elect its new leader. The party had won only 28 seats as against 58 it won in the 2004 elections and was a coalition partner for both the Congress and the shortlived BJP Governments.
