'Declare Assets

Bangalore, May 27: Even as political parties were busy with formation of the government, Karnataka Lokayukta has reminded all members of both the houses of the State Legislature to file their statement of Assets and Liabilities under Section 22(1) before June 30-2008.

Lokayukta warned in a release that all the Legislators are bound to declare their and those of the members of their families the Assets and Liabilities in a prescribed form, failing which it would amount to misconduct and an offence punishable under the Indian Penal Code.

The notice was issued under Section 22 (1) of the Karnataka Lokayukta Act 1984.
