Lalu submits passport before CBI court
Ranchi, May 27 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today submitted his passport before the CBI Special Judge here in connection with RC 38A/96 fodder scam unearthed in 1990s.
CBI Special Judge Sanjay Prasad had earlier released the passport following an application by the Union Minister.
Mr Prasad, also the RJD supremo, said in his petition that he had to go to Singapore and Malaysia on an official tour following which the court passed a conditional order.
The court had directed Mr Prasad to submit the passport personally within 15 days after his return.
The Railway Minister was one of the major accused in the fodder scam and had appeared in the court of B K Sahay, CBI special judge, in this connection.
The court had earlier directed him to appear in the court personally after his return from the official tour.
