K K Swamy appointed as MD

New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) Germany's Volkswagen today announced the appointment of K K Swamy as the Managing Director and Vice-President of its India operations, with effect from July 21.

''K K Swamy has been appointed to the board of directors of Volkswagen India as Managing Director and Vice-President with effect from July 21,'' a company statement said.

Mr Swamy would report to Jorg Muller, the Managing Director and President of Volkswagen India.

Mr Swamy has earlier served as the Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), and had been instrumental in setting up the greenfield project of TKM in Bangalore.
