Jammu court sends Capt Chaitanya to 3-day judicial remand

Jammu, May 27 (UNI) A local court today sent Capt Chaitanya Bhatwadekar to three-day judicial remand and directed the investigating officer to complete the probe in the Capt Megha Razdan murder case.

First Class Magistrate Yahaya Firdous Ahangar, after considering the remand application filed by the police and case diary, granted three-day more judicial remand.

Capt Chaitanya was arrested on April 1, 2008 on FIR 34/2008.

While granting the judicial remand, the court also directed the investigating officer to complete the investigation in the case.

Capt Chaitanya was arrested for allegedly killing his Army officer wife Capt Megha Razdan, who was found hanging on July 1, 2007 at her residential quarters at Kunjwani. Police initiated investigations and registered the case under sections 306 (abetment to suicide) and 498-a (cruelty).
