G Vijayam invited to address World Humanist Congress

Vijayawada, May 27 (UNI) The Atheist Centre Executive Director G Vijayam has been invited to speak in the five-day World Humanist Congress, scheduled to be held at Washington DC from June five.

Talking to UNI here, Dr Vijayam said the theme of the Congress would be 'promotion of humanist values and strengthening the secular society world wide'.

He said that he would speak on the significance of the alternate way of life, free from religion and superstitions and also highlight the work in India by atheists, humanists and rationalists to spread science and scientific outlook.

After the conference, Dr Vijayam would attend a number of meetings in Minnesota, California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
