Conference of Relief Commissioners to review monsoon preparedness

New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) A high-level meeting of Relief Commissioners would be held here tomorrow to review the preparedness for South- West Monsoon.

The Annual Conference of Relief Commissioners/ Secretaries of the Department of Disaster Management of States and Union Territories would review the status of preparedness for the South-West Monsoon.

Several Central Ministries, Departments, Organisations performing emergency support functions in the wake of natural calamities will participate in the Conference.

The Conference being organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs, would be inaugurated by Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta while Secretary (Border Management) Shantanu Consul will deliver the key note address.
