CM inaugurates Nehru Centre to mark 44th death anniversary
Panaji, May 27 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Digamber Kamat today inaugurated 'Nehru Centre' at Margao in South Goa, to mark the 44th death anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said Pandit Nehru had become immortal in the heart and mind of every Goan for the crucial role he played in the formation of Goa.
Mr Kamat said during his recent visit to Srinagar, he witnessed the undying love and affection of people there for Pandit Nehru.
People should continue to follow Pandit Nehru's ideals, which resolved many pressing issues during his time, Mr Kamat said.
