CEO and 14 candidates of MDU exams booked by Vigilance
Rohtak, May 27 (UNI) The state Vigilance Bureau has booked 17 people including the then Controller of Examination (COE) of the Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) and 14 of the candidates who took the post graduation medical entrance exams conducted by the university last year which were later cancelled by the state government.
They have been booked by the Bureau on charge of cheating, criminal conspiracy and corruption in connection with alleged irregularities in the examination.
According to vigilance sources, a case under section 420 and 120 B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 13 (1) of the CRPC was registered at the Rohtak police station of the bureau yesterday against MDU deputy registrar Sukhbir Singh, who was holding the charge of the post of COE of the university, when the PG Medical entrance examiation was conducted by the MDU.
