Bomb scare at Chawri Bazar Metro station, trains unaffected

New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) Two days after a bomb scare at the Chawri Bazar Metro station, a call about a bomb at the station sent the police and security personnel into a Tailspin this evening.

A Massive search and frisking was on at the Chawri Bazar metro station after a call recieved this evening that there was a bomb at the station, a DMRC spokesperson said.

Bomb disposal teams and dog squads rushed to the spot to conduct searches at the underground metro station.

The train operations were, however, not affected by the scare, the spokesperson said.

This is the second bomb scare at the Chawri Bazar station in the last one week.

Earlier, on Saturday, an anonymous phone call to police threatening to blow up the Chawri Bazar metro station triggered panic at the facility.
