Teenager mauled by tiger in Umaria

Umaria, MP, May 26: A teenaged boy was mauled to death by a tiger at Bandhavgarh National Park here, official sources said today. Rajesh Bakasaria(17) along with his parents was plucking tendupatta (bidi leaves) in the park's Damna beat when the tiger hiding behind a bamboo cluster attacked and killed him on the spot yesterday.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who arrived here to take part in a programme, has announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the victim's family. Of this, Rs 1 lakh would be provided from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund and the rest by the Park authorities, the sources said.
