Rio congratulates Agatha Sangma

Kohima, May 26: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today congratulated former Lok Sabha speaker P A Sangma and his daughter Agatha on her landslide victory in the bypolls to the Tura Lok Sabha seat in Meghalaya.

In a letter to Agatha Sangma, Mr Rio said the people of Meghalaya reposed their confidence in the NCP and the margin of the victory speaks volume of the acceptance of Mr P A Sangma's leadership in the national politics also.

Mr Rio also wished success to Ms Agatha as she begins a new chapter of her political career and hoped the people's welfare would be the prime focus of such young leaders.
