Farmer's club to rescue debt-hit farmers

Punjab, May 26, 2008: Farmers at Lambra village in Punjab state have formed a club that supports them financially and keeps them away from the clutches of middlemen and landlords.

Chandradeb Singh who is now a rich mango farmer was undergoing tough times earlier when the club came to his rescue. He was provided with funds so that he could pay off his debt and start his farm.
