Tiger Beer upgrades Aurangabad plant, builds new plant in Hyderabad
Mumbai, May 25 (UNI) Tiger Beer, which entered the Indian market in 2006, has upgraded its Aurangabad plant and built a new USD 25 million plant in Hyderabad with a capacity of more than 500,000 bottles.
Talking to UNI, Asia Pacific Breweries marketing manager Chetan Gupta said, ''We are placing Tiger brand as a premium consumer brand to tap into the lifestyle and aspirations of the urban youth. We will expand our market base from large metros to the smaller cities in the next six months.'' He said the Indian beer market is still untapped with consumption level at 1 litre per person/per year, compared to 26 litres for China and 85 litres for the US.
