New Delhi, May 24 : Tibetan youths came out in solidarity and registered protest against Chinese oppression by posting letters to various international organizations to draw their attention towards the Tibetan cause.

They gathered in Delhi today and wrote letters to the international agencies like United Nations (UN), European Union (EU) and American Parliament in a bid to draw their attention towards the Tibetan issue.

They also distributed pamphlets on human rights violations. Protesters said that the younger generation would continue with their struggle for Tibet in a peaceful and non-violent manner.

"Today we have written more than 250 letters to various organizations like UN, European Union, American Union, International Olympic Committee (IOC), Indian parliament and American Congress. This is to show that younger generation is trying all possible means in a non violent manner to attract attention towards the problem in Tibet," said Tensing Tsering, a Tibetan youth.

Under the banner of All India Tibetan College Students Mass Movement, they are trying to garner support of the international bodies towards plight of the Tibetans.

Tibetan diaspora all over the world is seeking an end to Chinese repression in Tibet and have staged a wave of protests across the world especially Dharamsala, home of the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama in India.

Meanwhile, Tibetan exiles are holding parallel games prior to the Beijing Olympics to garner world attention towards their 'freedom struggle'.

The Tibetan Olympics happen to be another form of innovative protest by the exiles against China's crackdown after the March unrest in Lhasa.

The three-day event started on May 22 in the hilly resort of Satovari near Dharamsala ahead of the Beijing Olympics in August 2008.
