Malaysian trade officials hold talks with industrialists

Puducherry, May 23 (UNI) International Network and Trade Promotion, Malaysia External Trade Development Division, Director Silmi Rehman, and Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai Jainuddin Jalil today held talks with the representatives of the Chamber of Industries, Mettuppalayam, here.

During the meeting, both the officials had extended an invitation to the industrialists here to participate in the Malaysian International Trade Fair-2008, to be held in Malaysia in November this year. As many as 35 industrialists participated in the meeting.

Later, Pondicherry Chamber of Industries, Mettuppalayam, Secretary V E Thirumal told newspersons that several products, right from cosmetics to plastic items were being produced at the Mettuppalayam industrial estate and a decision on participating in the trade fair would be taken after another meeting of the industrialists.
