Unseasonal rainfall makes weather pleasant in UP

Lucknow, May 22: Even as mercury dipped after continuous spells of shower at isolated parts of Uttar Pradesh in the last couple of days, the rains that lashed the state today made the weather pleasant.

According to the Met department, rains lashed almost entire UP, including Kanpur, Barabanki, Azamgarh, Etawah, Mainpuri, Shahjahanpur and Jaunpur.

The unseasonal rainfall has given people reason to smile, however, the office goers faced hardship due to the heavy downpour in the morning, which also caused trafficul jams at several terminals.

The rains blessed the farmers, who were all set to sow new seeds, however, farmers involved in 'jaiti' cultivation suffered loss and were unhappy with the May showers.

The weather department forecast pleasant weather with spells of showers at isolated places.
