Prisoners observe fast against police restriction

Puducherry, May 22 (UNI) As many as 150 prisoners of the Central Prison today observed fast to protest against the police restriction on visitors to the prison.

Police said the prisoners began the fast in the morning.

Senior police officals were holding talks with them to put an end to their agitation.

Meanwhile, four prisoners attempted to commit suicide by consuming liquid shampoo. They were admitted to the Government General Hospital here.
