Kerala bags Rs 159.1 lakh under Hariyali guidelines
New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) The Kerala Government has been sanctioned Rs 159.1 lakh by the Ministry of Rural Development under the Hariyali guidelines of the Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) during 2008-09, it was officially announced today.
The beneficiaries are the District Rural Development agencies (DRDAs) of Pathanamthitta and Kollam districts.
Of this, Rs 34.6 lakh is for Project-I, Rs 28.7 lakh for Project-II and Rs 60.2 lakh for Project-III of Pathanamthitta.
Kollam district has bagged Rs 34.5 lakh for Project-II during the current financial year.
The district collectors/chairman, DRDAs concerned will ensure proper utilisation of funds by the Project Implementing Authorities (PIAs) and make the funds available to them within 15 days of receiving it. Similarly, the state government will release its share within 15 days of the release of Central Share of funds.
The payment sanctioned is provisional, depending on utilisation. Only after 50 per cent or more utilisation of funds and submission of quarterly progress report, utilisation certificate, audited statement of accounts and complete mid-term evaluation report from an approved evaluator, will the next amount be released.
