Fourteen year old boy drowns in Sutlej
Anandpur Sahib (Rupnagar), May 22 (UNI) A fourteen year s old boy was drowned in to Sutlej near village Laudhipur of Rupnagar district today.
According to information Deepak Kumar of village Laudhipur, studying in eighth class student, went to river Sutlej for taking bath. However he drowned in the water. Deepak used to go at a particular area for having a bath in Sutlej.
However, the area it is alleged that excessive minning of soil and sand from the river bed by a road company staff has increased the depth of the water in that particular area. Unaware of this, Deepak started taking a bath in the area and drowned. His body was fished out of the river later on.
