Unit-2 of DBCRTP to commence on May 22

Chandigarh, May 21: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that the second unit of 300 MW capacity at Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant (DBCRTP) at Yamunanagar would commence generation of power tomorrow.

The first unit of an equal capacity had already been made functional.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Hooda said that his Government had inherited the problem of shortage of power, but now effective steps had been taken to add to the existing generation capacity of the State.
