Junior Class-I status for OAS at entry level

Bhubaneswar, May 21 (UNI) Officers of the Orissa Administrative Services (OAS) will join as junior class one officer at the entry level.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced the decision following a discussion with representatives of OAS Association here today.

Necessary amendments to the rules governing the OAS officers appointment would be made soon to implement the directive.

The meeting also decided to restructure the OAS cadre in next three months, official sources said.
