Cent per cent applicants get jobs under EGS
Bhopal, May 21 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government today claimed that all families demanding employment under national rural employment guarantee scheme were provided work in the state during 2007-08.
As many as 43.47 lakh families in 31 districts covered under the scheme last year sought employment and all were provided jobs, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Rustam Singh said.
From April this year, all 48 districts were covered under the scheme, he said.
More than 1.36 lakh works costing about Rs 2892 crore were completed under the scheme last year, he added.
