Brunei Sultan holds talks with Prez, Vice-Prez, PM
New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) Brunei Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah today held wide-ranging talks with India's leadership, giving a major boost to the bilateral ties that would witness the signing of four more agreements, covering investment and other fields.
The Sultan of the oil rich nation who arrived here last evening on a three-day visit held consultations with President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Defence Minister A K Antony and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
The agreements on information and communication technology, culture, arts, mass media and sports, which are the results of the talks, would be inked by the officials of the two countries on Friday.
The President hosted a banquet in his honour.
The Sultan would visit ISRO at Bangalore on May 23 before flying back to Brunei.
