Betting racket on IPL T20 matches busted

New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) The Delhi Police have busted a racket relating to the betting on the T20 cricket match between the Kolkata Knight riders and the Rajasthan Royals yesterday and arrested two people in this connection.

Anil Gupta and Sanjay Sharma were arrested from Krishna Nagar in East Delhi last night while they were indulging in betting on the T 20 cricket match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals.

They were caught while engaged in attending telephone calls of their clients on mobile phones and maintaining the satta amounts on their pads and simultaneously entering the data in their laptop through special software designed for IPL matches.

An FIR has been registered against the two under relevant sections of the Gambling Act, 1955.
