4 women killed in 2 accidents in Chandrapur Dist
Nagpur, May 21 (UNI) Four women were killed in two road accidents in Chandrapur district of Vidarbha region in Maharashtra today.
Three women were killed when their three-wheeler collided head-on with an oncoming truck near Ballarshah, about 15 km from Chandrapur.
The victims were identified as Kalyani Vithoba Vazalwar (17) of Gadchiroli district, Usha Pradeep Vaidya (28) and Jyoti Baliram Butale (26), police said.
In another incident, a woman was killed when the two-wheeler that she was riding as pillion with her husband, was knocked down by a speeding truck, police said.
Her husband, who was injured seriously, was admitted to hospital in Chandrapur and later shifted to Nagpur. Their child, however, escaped unhurt, they added.
